It had an aluminium chassis, and was powered by two 12 volt batteries. The robot was invertible, and the front wedge was on a hinge, so it would fall down if the robot was flipped over, unlike most invertible robots with wedges, where the wedge was only useful one way up. The wedge led onto a front-hinged flipping panel on top, and the robot also had two air-driven spikes, one on each side, for glancing blows. The machine weighed in at precisely 80.2kg, making it the heaviest in its heat, and it was also the joint fastest at 15mph. Ming 2 was a long metallic wedge-shaped robot that entered Series 4. " This deadly Ming will move like a flash! Top speeds of up to 15 miles per hour! Two spikes at either side, and a flipper weapon, as they try to become kings of the Robot Wars universe!" - Jonathan Pearce describes Ming in the War of Independence
